‘Safe School, Safe Community’ (SSSC) is a ongoing project of Bangladesh Nari Progati Sangha aims to advance the national initiatives to prevent violance against women anf girls with the active and socially conscious schools equipped with trained teachers, active students, community and government officials. With a focus of prevention of violence both in the schools and community, SSSC intends to organize 80 schools as a social power-house which will radiate knowledge-based and action-oriented energy to broader community to make it safer for women and girls. The project plans to address the patriarchal value system which causes the discrimination and VAW/G.
With its unique, innovative and comprehensive intervention strategy for formal school system, the SSSC will compliment other government and non-government initiatives to end VAW/G and never limit itself to tap advantages from those programs to create synergy.
